I think we need to make some phone calls to Starbucks - The phone number for Starbucks headquarters is 1-206-447-1575
“This treatment of public safety workers could not be more disheartening. While the barista was polite, making such a request at all was offensive. Unfortunately, such treatment has become all too common in 2019.”
Some police officers in Tempe, Ariz., say they were asked to leave a Starbucks coffee shop on the Fourth of July because a customer complained they “did not feel safe” with the cops present, according to reports.
Five officers were drinking coffee at the Starbucks location prior to their shift beginning when a barista asked them to move out of the complaining customer’s line of sight or else leave, the Tempe Officers Association wrote in a series of Twitter messages.
Rob Ferraro, president of the police union, told FOX 10 of Phoenix that such treatment of police officers seems to be happening more often these days.
We just had a Dunkin open in my town. BTW Dunkin was bought by Coke Cola. We haven't gone but anxious for the opportunity.
My older sister said that Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts have less calories when they are hot then she would laugh and take another donut from the box.
Apology or not, it is the same as raising a bratty child if you repeatedly tell the child not to misbehave and they continue to misbehave- then you must take a stronger action... I am going to assume the barista knew better, from the previous cases- and I know jobs are hard to come by- but this barista should be fired! MHO
Suzie, Starbucks corporate has laid the foundation for this to be allowed. Corporate is responsible to undo what they have encouraged. If it takes a firing of the barista to send a msg to all Starbucks to change the corporate culture then by all means that is the right course of action to take.
I'm not taking up for the barista for he/she should be able to think for themself knowing right from wrong. Instead the barista chose group think and that group think has been encouraged by Starbucks corporate.
Starbucks corporate, now a global capitalist corporation, rides two horses one horse named global capitalist and the other pretend to be progressive socialist. Goodness that ride can not turn out well.
I have called and written Starbucks over 20 times in the past couple of years they are all in for this crap and I suspect they will continue to attempt to ride dead horses.
Yet we try to change the calculus and we should. The bratty child barista created/encouraged by Starbucks corporate culture.
