Can you imagine experiencing a fairly large quake and then the anticipation...

California earthquake generates over 100 aftershocks- 159 actually!!

By Jay Croft and Braden Goyette, CNN

Los Angeles (CNN)The strongest earthquake to hit Southern California in nearly 20 years prompted one city to declare a state of emergency Thursday, and shook residents from Las Vegas to Orange County.

The quake, with a magnitude of 6.4, was centered near Ridgecrest, a community west of the Mojave Desert and about 150 miles north of Los Angeles.
At least 159 aftershocks of magnitude 2.5 or greater were recorded after the earthquake, according to USGS Seismologist Robert Graves. It is a higher than normal number, but not unprecedented, he said. The largest of them were magnitude 4.6.

Fortunate that the quake was centered were it was. It was impressive. Of course after living in CA for some 40 yrs have many earthquake stories to tell. I have experienced floods two hurricanes 1 tornado that skirted where we were and snow storms, hail storms that were golf ball size. Earthquakes were always discombobulating they seemed so frightening to experience the surface one was standing on become so unstable.

CA large cities are living on borrowed time.

Suzie I am glad you and Will have your wonderful motorhome. Keep it fueled up and a full tank of water + propane.

several hours before that quake there was one of 6.2 magnitude just off the coast of Canada. Drawing a line between the two runs just slightly west of Portland, but following the most major fault lines between the two runs right through San Francisco. Looks to me like some west coast urban snowflakes have some real problems coming to worry about.

wonder which of Trump or global warming thier 1st kneejerk blame will go to....  as they lay claim to enhanced victimhood
