What are you?
An American Too?
Let's pretend we haven't met,
I'll ask you questions, now get set!
Are you black, are you white?
Do you sometimes get uptight?
Are you chinese, are you kurd?
Tell me won't you, what's the word?
Are you kimbundu, are you asian?
Do you know what your parents were raising?
Are you berber, are you swiss?
Is there anything you miss?
About your home land and their ways
Is there times your mind may stray?
To the thoughts of days of past
When family and country came not last.
Are you bengali or khmer?
Do the roots inside you stir?
If we are here and
We're not there
Tell me won't you should we care?
America engulfs us now
freedoms still, just for now.
Lot for long for they are changing
Let's keep our heritage in check
and just remember this...

I can not believe, and I will not , that there is a greater presence that would subscribe to what some of us in this human race have done to others. Don't say jokes about race, don't talk in stereotypes, and absolutely do not believe anything our politicians say. The common people are the answer to all of our prayers. They must all understand that as a human race we need to get along, and if there are those who feel the power for power and greed we must pound them down, they are our undoing!
This is how many different races there are in this world, interesting. But we should behave as one, the Human race.
That is what I like about so many of you on here, I can take a concept and put it on here and you make it into something wonderful. My statement at the bottom "The common people are the answer to all of our prayers. They must all understand that as a human race we need to get along, and if there are those who feel the power for power and greed we must pound them down, they are our undoing!", is just what it means. Our politicians have made a wonderful country of freedom into a quagmire of rasicm. It was our diversity of people coming together that formed this country, and now they are making it our undoing. They have made everything that was wonderful about so many different cultures into something that none of us can live with.
There was a time when immigrants (not illegal aliens) came to this country to get away from the persecution of their own country, now they come here to persecute us.
Teddy Roosevelt really talked for the people, I love some of his quotes and have included them below...
We can have no '50-50' allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.
To announce that there must be no criticism of the president... is morally treasonable to the American public.
When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer "Present" or "Not guilty."
The man who loves other countries as much as his own stands on a level with the man who loves other women as much as he loves his own wife.
Rhetoric is a poor substitute for action, and we have trusted only to rhetoric. If we are really to be a great nation, we must not merely talk; we must act big.
The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight.
Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.
Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country.
Every reform movement has a lunatic fringe.
And what we should all be doing right now is not speaking softly and carrying a big stick, but screaming at the top of our lungs and carrying an even bigger stick.
And we can not forget Abraham Lincoln...
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.
As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy.
We will not be a democracy for long if things continue the way they are. Our world of elitists are setting us up for an Oligarchy. The only people who will have anything will be those in government, the arts, and sports. Look what Russia was, we are headed for it.
I am sincerely impressed. You just might be a genuine disciple of any of the world's great religions and believe in your heart the words from Dr King to judge a person by the content of his character and not by some other attribute.
I don't recall seeing you post much before but I am glad that you are now.
Look backward only for the lessons of history.
Look forward to restoring Liberty which I like to define as the exercise of a person's god-given free will.
Always live in the present--we forget the pain of the past and have only dreams of the future.
Thanks Suz, I'm pretty proud of you too! You took my lead and ran with it in a way that I never could have. You should be very proud of yourself as well!
