So . . .GA6 and SC5 remain repub.

Okay. So what!  In the last 7yrs the dems have lost well over a thousand seats across the board and now the GOP has control of BOTH the Senate and the HoR -- and now the WH. Yet, are we even close to REAL Obamacare repeal; or tax reform?  No.  Are we closer to REAL spending cuts or a Balanced Budget?  Nuh-uh. How about the runaway costs of SocSec; any closer to any reform there?  HAH!

So, excuse me for not popping the bubbly over the GA or SC "wins".  I grade on actual legislative RESULTS - not merely on intentions.  We get enough of that w/ the bullsh*t COMMON CORE education system.

That's my not-so-humble opinion!

Here it comes! The GOP Senate version of the "new?" health care bill. Is it a genuine "repeal and replacement" solution?

Imo, it does NOT "repeal" it at all. And, since it doesn't fully repeal it - it will certainly bring us even closer to the "single payer".

For those that still don't get what "single payer" looks like - here it is:

so, every few years we're gonna get a new+improved healthcare system?? every few years our healthcare options will be jerked in a different direction depending on who gets elected. in between, our healthcare system will be a constant campaign topic - promises abound. A constant uncertainty of how to plan for healthcare. A constant uncertainty of what comes next. A constant being on guard for over-reaching authority and/or legislative stupidity on something as fundamentally imperative as our health.

WTH??  who wants that? ..and who wants sleazy politicians deciding our healthcare options and processes in the 1st place? Who wants the constant stress that comes with them doing so every election cycle?

Repeal??  only partisan fools believe that.  yet, the word keeps being said/printed.. they obviously believe we are all fools.

Hey, Larry!  Been a looooong time!  W/ all the copy/aste-headlines that bury evertyhing else here I'm surprised this thread got a reply at all!

I like how you put your reply together.

Only once was the term "options" osed here. Ver appropriate as our our Natural Rights ... are diminshing more and more - regardless of the party "leading" the country.

The phrase you used that stood out was "constant uncertainty". Again, very appropriate. Although DT has been working on undoing BHO's Ex-O's - they can return w/ a stroke of the pen of the next democrat party's potus. And, as we've seen under Obama alone, the DC-GOP will bend over the very same way BHO bent over for the Saudi king.

But I do see a constant-certainty. The American Citizenry will NEVER have a say again - be it health care or much of anything else for that matter.

The healh/medical care argument in America is as much of a LIE as is that global warming (climate chang) TREATY going on in Paris. And It's NOT some "accord", as the progressives from both Left and "right" so innocently describe it at all.  BOTH, those agendas ARE all about CONTROLLING the population: Their cultures; but moreso the universal mindset and the global census.

That high-speed train may SLIGHTLY slow down - but it will NEVER be derailed.  Jmho.

ps: Stay dry!  Don't be a stranger, ole friend!

Am912, I have two threads. On this one I'll post all things political. At the other thread..."WW3"...I intend to post all things related to our military, FP, National Security, and everything related to Islamic terrorism, the NorKs, Russia, China, Iran, etc.

M ytwo threads could cover a lot ground.  I keep it simple. No unnecessary clutter. Other threads won't get buried.

DT: 100% of Obamacare will be repealed

The Crowd: HURRAY!!!

DT: I'm hinking of building a "sloar" wall. It would cost Mexico less.

The Crowd: HURRAY!!!

DT: Foreigners would have to "wait" at least "5 yrs" before (becoming a BURDEN on American taxpayers)

The Crowd: HURRAY!!!

That's what STUPIDITY looks like!

It's been reported that DT will e talking w/ the four GOP Senators that are not on board w/ the present "plan" which McConnell and specific DC-GOP club mmbers worked on behind closed doors. "Transparancy"?

Some friendly advice for the potus:  Do more LISTENING than TALKING!  Those four UNDERSTAND the DC-game. You don't! Getting another health care "plan" to merely SUBSTITUTE (or "replace") Obamacrae in no way counts as having KEPT a campaign PROMISE at all!  As long as government has its corrupt grip on it the Citizenry will NEVER have their Rights to FREEDOM OF CHOICE!

Imo, those that prefer government involvement DESERVE TO BE TOLD how and what to eat and drink. They DESERVE TO BE TOLD how to live and HOW MUCH electricity they should use - in THEIR OWN homes; which doctors they should be ALLOWED to see - and which meds, procedures or operations they should...or SHOULDN'T be ALLOWED to have.

Such pro-all govt sorts are like mindless circus animals that are taught to do TRICKS.  That's how I see it.

The very "spirit" of Obamacare...its regulations and the corporate subsidies...shall live on - thanks to the DC-GOP machine. And the Trump admn is totally on board. N surprising.

Sen. Mike Lee lays out what GOP healthcare bill needs to get his vote

>"Far short of 'repeal,' the Senate bill keeps the Democrats' broken system intact, just with less spending on the poor to pay for corporate bailouts and tax cuts," said Lee, R-Utah"

>"For all my frustrations about the process and my disagreements with the substance of [the bill], I would still be willing to vote for it if it allowed states and/or individuals to opt out of the Obamacare system free-and-clear to experiment with different forms of insurance, benefits packages, and care provision options," Lee said."

Hmmm...I wonder if one of those "options" include seeking coverage across state lines as well. But, the fact that this [bill] merely transfers money from Medicaid to the corporate health care carriers explains why McConnell was as secretive w/ the GOP version of the health care bill as the dems had been w/ Obamacare back in 2009 - 2010. "Transparency". Yet another broken GOP promise.

Lets also not forget that, for years prior to his entering the presidential race, Donald Trump had been a strong advocate of the very "single payer" system that the farthest left demcrats, which include Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, George Soros, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton covet today.

Remember this:

Image result for newsweek 2009 cover we're all socialists now

It's for real. We're there.  The path was plowed over a half century ago under LBJ; and Obama put us on its high speed rail.

And no one on the "right"...elected or voter...ever really tried to stop it.

Lets rehash:
1. Donald Trump won the election

2. Neil Gorsuch was appointed to the SCOTUS

3. The pipeline moratorium was lifted and regulations that all but destroyed our coal industry were removed - saving the industry which returns JOBS and commerce. Thus keeping the cost of electricity from "necessarily skyrocketing" as was intended by Obama and the entire Democrat party.

4. Nikki Haley was appointed as UN Ambassador - which also took the US off its course of standing dead aainst our only genuine ally in the MidEast: Israel.

5. The USA is OUT of the EU's global treaty that hides behind the deceptive title: The "Climate Change" Accord.

6. The Supreme Court said the Travel Ban was LAWFUL; and Kate's Law passed as well.

7. It was finally revealed the former political minister of the FBI, James Comey, was a hack for the Hillary campaigne. Even his speech in Iowa sent a strong and POSITIVE message to the nation and the world.

And then, once again, he tweets. (sigh) Again, it only served to indulge and satisfy his huge and paper-thin ego. Once again what has been accomplished has been buried by his own hand.

The way I see it, the MOST EFFECTIVE way to really piss-off the rabidly far left media; the entertainment industry and the universities, and really drive them MORE insane, is by GETTING THINGS DONE!

Imo, Trump's vanity continues to make the country's already steep uphill climb even steeper. Can he keep his ego at bay at least till the Fourth of July? Personally, I doubt it.

To be fair:

Trump's latest tweet suggests FULL repeal of Obamacare FIRST. Then start working on the key problems brought upon us by the ACA: i.e. the employer and individual mandates and Medicaid costs/budget, etc.

Many of us have been calling for just that for YEARS now. That tweet is an effective use of his twitter acct.

A New Comedy Channel.

CNN is now b*tchin over how NJ Gov Chris Cristie is soaking in the sun at the state's beachhouse - which he has the legal right to use as the Governor.

Well, it's not like there's anything "important" that CNN could be reporting, right?

Remember this?

"Republicans are the enemy" - Hillary Clinton, 2016 DNC Convention

> Soooo, the enemy is not Putin or Islamists, right?

"If they bring a knife, you bing a gun!" - Barack Insane Obama, 2008

> And that's exactly what James T. Hodgkinson did. But not to some fictitious "knife fight". But to an innocent SOFTBALL game.

Very inspirational words by very prominent liberal leaders, huh.

Btw, that "WWE" schtick, though stupid, was funny!  If the left wants a real example of something that actually promotes and encourages violence - they only need to catch a Broadway show!  In my book, CNN is now officially the COMEDY NEWS NETWORK!

just watched a couple of foxsnews videos - Tucker and a Fox and Friends clip with Gene Marks. Both were talking about Trump's twitter activity. Both made the point that Trump is distracting the media on purpose so they aren't focusing their venom spewing on his policy efforts. Tie that to 1st hand accounts given by some in Trump's administration's inner circle that he's tireless, works endlessly - I heard one say 24 hours a day like he was having trouble keeping up with Trump just with his limited responsibilities comparatively. His policy efforts get little attention and are substantial and already being effective, according to today's 'in defense of Trump's tweets' narrative.  Looks to me like his time tweeting is very productive time spent.
