HEAR HERE !!    ....well said linda.

although, about there being more of us than them = probably not, we're now at 85% of us living in progressive indoctrinated cities.     ..but that doesn't nullify your truth told

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe. Thomas Jefferson.

The quotation as many quotations do has been altered slightly. Jefferson's quote in the original was,

"I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries; as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe.".

So the shorter version is true also.

Gee that statement sounds like Agenda 21 and now 30 whatever number they want to call New World Order!...

Jefferson was big on the importance of agriculture for several reasons. The importance of food and the clout of being a supplier of it was one, another was his understanding of human nature within it's variable surroundings. At least at one point in his life he strongly believed cities should not grow so large that human nature is triggered to adapt a less virtuous culture. I'm sure he expressed this much more than once -- and I'd guess that might account for a slightly different wording for the same point. He even had a design/plan for a nation designed to naturally resist cities getting huge. It's kinda hard to find on the internet but it's there, I accidentally found it several years ago while surfing the net. Essentially it's got a small city near the center of every county, with the outlying areas of the county being less densely populated and more agricultural -but not entirely. The sketches/drawings representing the design are kinda interesting - i've checked my browser favorites to see if i had the link to them saved but don't, wish i did.

so, not really like agenda21/30/whatever, where people are removed from most lands and piled into the cities with the false pretense that bambi can then roam freely and safely.

Yes Suzie, Agenda 21-31, sustainable living in overpopulated cities. Think of it it is about a methods of control over.

Watching the doing documentary about the Nazi's and the Joy Through Strength program they laid out the NWO of Agenda 21-31. Propaganda for control of the Nazi order.

Larry, That Jefferson was a gent that had the gift of being a visionary. He was one of my favorite founders. If I were living in that time I would not have been fond of Hamilton.

Having visited Monticello on occasions one could easily understand his love for the agrarian life. I felt that as a child visiting my grandparents self sustaining farm.

Larry, your reply has no reply so...

I understand the plan which would be "sustainable" (I hate that word) but they do not want us to be able to be sustainable or self-sufficient!! the two largest areas of agriculture in the United States- have no water. None! We used to grow nearly 45% of the veggies for US in Imperial/Coachella Valley and San Joaquin Valley- but a 4 inch Delta Smelt won out over our Food! Now these areas are turning into dust bowls... poverty struck towns, homeless, the story goes on and on across America, when we look at the big picture and how this level of poverty was created... its a vicious circle...it is the reverse of "Teach a man to fish... this is "Take away the mans fish...hell take away the hook line and sinker!

I loved it Suzie when you said "Teach a man to fish... this is "Take away the mans fish...hell take away the hook line and sinker!". That sums it up.

Linda and Patricia,

Yup, prepared!!

This is why we must let him know we stand with him! Dday! too bad it's so far off!

To Larry

As well know Thomas Jefferson as well as most of the other Founders were farmers. They even brewed their own beer!  Fertile soil and ideal climate is as much a natural resource as fossil fuels (oil, coal, natural gas and water).  They were very aware that agrculture was...IS...as valuable as precious metals for trade.   Isn't it poetic how the mightiest empire of all time was defeated literally by a bunch of farmers!

The population explosion within the cities was  destined to occur w/ the growth of the country. But it went into warp-speed w/ the discovery of oil and invention of harnessed electricity (the birth of the Industrial Era).  As the population grew, generations pass. And the generations that followed the Founders continued inventing and innovating. Thus, each generation grew less interested in farmimg. "Let those other guys do that".

To Suzie

You said: "We used to grow nearly 45% of the veggies for US in Imperial/Coachella Valley and San Joaquin Valley-  [but a 4 inch Delta Smelt]1 won out over our Food! Now these areas are turning into dust bowls... poverty struck towns, homeless..."

And yet, look at what the CA majority vote into office.

Early during Obama's first term I had expressed my outrage over the UNNECESSARY events that were occurring in those Valleys - where AHnold (R) was the guvahnator.

[1]  Lets be clear here. CA didn't lose to some insignifcant 4 inch creature. No. America LOST to liberalism (democrat-socialism). And their goal is to completely strip us away from self-sufficiency and to destroy our judeochristian values.  And The Bible is full of accounts that show that mankind has done that...repeatedly...for eons.  Makind IS the living, breathing, definition of Einstein's INSANITY.

Luis,

I wrote this article back in 2014, it lays out what happened here... I live 5 mins from absolute - Caused - poverty. Big Money did this. Sad...
