Hello Members and Friends,

First...

I will be having back surgery in the near future, after I complete all tests. My pain level is over the top. No choice! I am going to need a little help with the site during this time. I think 2 moderators, one on each coast -could cover most of the time. Please volunteer- all you would need to do is read the site- which you do anyway!

Back to the business...

I have been giving much thought as to how I can still provide the website for all the wonderful loyal members, and protect myself from any legalities and future stress!. and no more ups and downs for the site.

I have always tried to be “More” professional, “More” active, offer “More” information in short I wanted the site to be “more” successful. But in reality “more” is not always better!

I think Luis hit the nail on the head when he said the site is more of a “Social Forum”, and as a social forum the site is successful!

The majority of members have been with this site for a long time, many friendships have developed over the years. But due to my idea of “professional” I did not include ways to build on those friendships. Sharing on a different more personal level is important to sustain any group.

We will still maintain our reputation for offering up to date Political information, but other topics will be added to our Menu... because as a social forum we can lighten up and include some fun apps to the site.

I will also be changing the site layout and colors...

Since these changes are just in idea stage I would like feedback from members...

So....

What's on YOUR Wish list?

What about music in the background?

How about a category to introduce yourself?

I hope this new direction will give us a renewed sense of community

I've gotten to the point that with every mass shooting I fully expect that the shooter has been or is/was currently on psychotropic drugs and do internet searches to see if it has been confirmed yet. Not yet for Dimitrios Pagourtzis, the latest teenaged mass murderer of school children. But this morning's search at least indicates the question is becoming more common;

http://www.bing.com/search?q=santa+fe+psychotropic&qs=n&for...

among those is;

World famous psychiatrist warns that increased use of psychiatric drugs will translate to more mass shootings

Larry, I agree that the use of psychiatric drugs will continue to introduce violence from the young. I  think the culture of depending on these type of drugs by parents and encouraged by schools due to early behavior issues that can be addressed with little exertion of time on correcting the youngs behavior problem. Kids like this I think stand a big risk from bullies due to weird behavior. The kid on the psychiatric drug becomes ever more isolated and I guess the parents and teachers interpret as problem solved.

Kamila Harris, from CA, recently thought smoke more weed as an answer.

I keep thinking about the movie The Giver where a community of folk took their given inoculation every day.

I was reading a synopsis of a Brookings Institution panel and basically they were saying from now until 2050 those who are not part of the selected anointed class would bring great unrest to America and that notion I share so how will the ruling class try and control the masses? Many ways and I guarantee inoculation of drugs will be in the mix.

Larry, I will add where was this young mans parents?

  • did they take the time to monitor his online presence?
  • did they lock up the guns?
  • did they take the time that parents should to observe that boy?
  • why did they not know he had a t-shirt that read "Born to Kill"?

When there is a mass shooting in a School or Mall, wherever, the question that comes to mind for me is... Why?  My thought is because the shooter could and the victims couldn't.  The jump to gun control is stupid to me.  The shooter had control of the gun and the victims didn't.  I really believe if the powers that be could twitch their nose and make all guns go away, instead of shooters, we will be talking about 'drivers' with cars/trucks plowing through crowds of people......provoking the need for car/truck control.  In other words, there will always be people that, for whatever reason, want to kill defensive, minding their own business, people....and will succeed.   They will find away.   I sure don't have a solution, but what I am sure of, turning America, The United States of America, into Europe, is worse than no solution, it is dangerous.  Heil Democrat Party!

Michael, I agree with the spirit of what you say.

I do believe that the world we are being forced into turmoil will be what the underclass (as consider so by the overclass) will bring decades of turmoil within this class. I would now be thrown into this class for just the reason related to my age. The overclass will be those of monied and connections and those who have importance to service the overclass. No guarantee for those who are the service type that they will always be among the overclass.

If I am close to being right to control the new underclass gun control is just one must. In 20 years access to vehicles for the underclass will be very limited. Think about it this class will not be able to afford.

I could go on and on with this -- I will leave it to others imagining.

Turmoil and tyranny awaits the masses.

read a headline just a few minutes ago that went something like 'Spies in Trump campaign team show ruling class is out of control'. It brought to mind this post by you Patricia.

....and one of the primary things I've been finding very disturbing over the past couple decades. That our culture is accepting the concept of a ruling class. That wasn't the case not too long ago as I remember it, within our lifetimes.  ...very disturbing and disappointing for our generations imo

Yeah...and what stood out for me, when I read Pat's post, was: "That our culture is accepting the concept of a ruling class."

It reminds me of a quote by a member of the American Socialist Party back in the early 20th century:

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened"  - Norman Thomas

Quite prophetic, huh. But such a prophecy was foretold even before that:

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves" - Abraham Lincoln

And even earlier than that, when asked what was it that the Framers had handed to the new American citizenry, Benjamin Franklin had replied: "A republic...if you can KEEP it".

Now, here we are...as always, playing the blame-game.

"Hey! It wasn't me!" (eyeroll)

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

I get steamed each time the left leaning companies hire another Obama administration person. NETFLIX just hired another one, Susan Rice as part of their board of directors.

CANCEL NETFLIKs

The Nothing Burger Uniparty political circus investigation will run through the 2018 election until 2020.

Uniparty, let's start all over and go back to the beginning ... There is a call for the OIG and a newly created 2nd Special Council to investigate the investigators.
