Larry and all members, I apologize for the inconvenience...

For some reason, the reply box is popping up under the post- rather than as a reply. Once you click Add reply it does show up in the right area... but not as a threaded reply...

I am working on it! Sorry

Larry, I think we agree... I just call it by a different name. You call it progressive- I call it communist. Either way, it is the same outcome.  What I meant is that the Parties are no longer the Parties of yesterday... they have been invaded by those representing their own interests... Old school Republicans are not what they once were... They do not respect our founding documents...

Larry, The behavior of the reply and edit is that for example on hitting the reply one must scroll back up to the add reply which is located just under the original article. Magically under the hood after add reply your reply lands correctly.

Well dang it. For some reason my comment posted 2 times and I can’t delete it or even edit it. Trying to do either takes me back to top comment box. Hhhmmmm

Wearing of white in our culture has meaning grounded in 'purity'. KKK race purity and so that white worn by the Nazi's e.g. purification for an all out aryan race. The women wearing white my conclusion wearing white 'purity' symbol for socialism/communism, subliminal message  are oft effective.

Some of those may not have thought of the symbolism of white purity connection -- no surprise they would not have.

Suzie, Thank you for making the reply that included the links to american communist party and its pal the socialists websites. It had been a long while since I last took a gander. I was struck by the fact that their websites have taken on a more slick updating. Makes me wonder who's behind the $$'s for the new upgrades. Silly me I can easily imagine the who's.

Linda

Teaparty's early days is a good example of the main point i'm trying to make.. especially my last point on how to divide the D party. My local experience serves as a fine demonstration;

When TeaParty's movement had it's most momentum/popularity it was adamantly non-partisan. Our local 'chapter' was gaining numbers with every meeting, and there was about as many disgruntled/displaced Ds as Rs. But when TeaParty publicly adapted the strategic policy of 'changing R party' (embracing the R label) the very next meeting had lost over 50% of it's attendance - of both disgruntled/displaced Ds and Rs. Within weeks it was such small attendance that the 'chapter' essentially died, telling the still attending membership (less than 20% of what it had been only weeks before) to drive almost 50 miles in joining San Antonio's TeaParty chapter.  Becoming about partisan politics essentially killed TeaParty - in short order locally, and eventually nationwide.

embracing party politics killed teaparty, just what both party's wanted.

Larry, same thing happened here in central Ohio. Started out with lots of people and more all the time, then poof, it died due to exactly what you wrote about the decisions of the tea party to replace r’s instead of standing and building something new, unique and separate from any other “party”!

I was just making the observation of what the current language/issues/etc of the parties reminds me of - now.  I’m not sure where the early tea party members have gone-silent or independent, or....?!

Larry, I get your point about the Tea Party and the move to the 'R' party. I know that it is true that there are classical liberalism believing dems who see what has happened to their party. I acknowledge that neither party, R and D, is not representative of many of us left or right.

I can't dismiss either the possible effective statements of Harry Reid and John McCain in sync with what amounted to labeling The Tea Party as 'terrorist'.

I can't dismiss that The Tea Party higher ups allowed donations to pour in from such folks as the Koch brothers.

I care not as a conservative to mix with demon-crats in a common goal, it is a trust factor in play. I would rather on a partisan bases to work within my trusted folks for what could be common good and let the demon-crats prove their intentions for true common good for this Republic.

Patricia

most importantly - i respect and admire who you are and what you do. I can't think of anybody I'd prefer to be doing it. I would feel real bad if i ever thought i had anything to do with you stopping what you do. I believe it's important and I'm proud to know ya, even if it's only in a virtual kinda way ;' /

I also believe although it's necessary it also reminds me of some famous military general's quote on strategy, something about it not being wise to fight battles on the enemy's preferred battleground.
