Hello everyone, Suzie wanted me to pass along that all went well today with the procedure to shock Will's heart. She thanks all for their prayers.

Suzie also wanted me to pass along that she will pick a winner of the caption contest Wednesday night. I take it that the contest is not over so posting one tomorrow seems fair.

– day three
Via Dolorosa
Departing Bethany again on the 3rd day they pass by the orchard on the way to the temple; And Peter remembered and said to him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered." (Mark 11:21) Jesus used the teachable moment to encourage the disciples faith. While at the temple the scribes and elders challenge Jesus' authority. Leaving the temple Jesus taught with many “parables” as they returned again to Bethany.

The betrayal begins:    Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests in order to betray Him to them.(Mark 14)

Prayer:

“O Lord of hosts, God who is enthroned above, You have made heaven and earth. You are God of all the kingdoms of the earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear our prayer;

Help us endure if others betray us like Iscariot. Open our ears to Lord Jesus Parables, our hearts to accept His precepts. Alas Lord God! Empower us “to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God” [Romans 12] — Amen.

John 14:2-4

2. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Verse Of The Day

Verse Of The Day

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Amen!

Verse of the Day

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1 KJV

I was reading about “ blessings” and found this instruction to the prophet Samuel to see things God’s way.

Verse of the Day

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.    1 Samuel 16:7 KJV

After this Samuel see’s young David with God’s eyes and bless’s David.

"Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O LORD, my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever."

Verse of the Day

Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterwards; and now he sits in the place of honor by the throne of God.
