Isaiah 52:7 (NASB95)
7 How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
As we look toward the time of Advent
Let's consider telling friends and neighbors the “advent “ of a living Saviour Coming Again!
St. Luke 2:
8. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. (NIV)
St. Luke two like the prophesy of Isaiah fifty two is without a doubt “good news.” The shepherds did decide to go “see this thing” (v.15) I too am excited about the “reason for the season.”
I am sometimes concerned we lose sight of The Returning King, while we focus on the baby Jesus in a manger.
The King is coming,
