Man, Laws and God.

Man, Laws and God

By Hugh Akston

God gave man 10 laws. Simple and easy to understand, so simple that all the laws that God gave to man can be summed up into two commandments.

Matthew 22:37-40 [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

But because of the nature of man he cannot obey. Greed, lust, envy, pride make up the nature of man and prevents him from following Gods laws fully as he should, simple laws we can understand but hard to follow.

Are mans laws any better? We have to pass laws to find out what is in them according to our congressional leaders. We have laws the reach to thousands of pages and laws that you have to know the previous law to try to figure out the changes to it in the current laws…

And it continues on.

"It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man who knows what the law is today can guess what it will be to-morrow." --James Madison, Federalist No. 62, 1788

Now we have mans laws we cannot obey because we cannot understand them, burdened by the very people we elected to run this country, yet they exempt themselves from the very laws they inflict upon us; like the Pharisees:

Matthew 23:4-6 [4] For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay [them] on men's shoulders; but they [themselves] will not move them with one of their fingers. [5] But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, [6] And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

So what is the problem? We have Gods laws that man by nature cannot obey and we have mans laws that men cannot understand to obey.  God paid the price of our disobedience for us, knowing that we are weak and incapable of following his laws; will our political leaders do the same? They pass laws knowing we are incapable of obeying because of the complications and deviousness of their commands; they willfully pass laws that no one can obey, and then inflict a penalty for disobedience. They love to receive praise and honor that they do not deserve, while disrespecting the people they are supposed to serve. They pass laws that conflict with the basic laws of our land and in their arrogance they claim they are entitled to do so because they want to.

We can only be an Honorable nation if we elect honorable people to lead us. Leaders who will pass laws men can understand and obey because they are good laws that allow men to live in peace and liberty. Laws that allow freedom of action not restrain men from business and work. Laws that build upon the commandments of God, to allow men to worship as they believe best and to let men provide for themselves and help their neighbors as they see fit. Charity begins at home not in the government.

God Bless.

Just my thoughts for today.

These rules guided civilized societies long before the Jews,  and can be summed up in a simple common sense treatise.  Many have been written over the course of history for those who think religion is folly.  If one does not believe in my Lord and Savior,  then I have no problem having him believing in Aristotle or Marcus Aureleus.  Just a suggestion for the family get togethers and the discussions occurring between religious folk and Athiests - use these academic giants to your advantage.  Even the Ivy Leaguers will have a hard time destroying this type of arguement,  and may even open their eyes towards God.  Stranger things have happened.  It has become obvious to me that a different approach to reaching those who have strayed from the flock must be applied.  When things go South,  the Church will again become a dominant factor in any of these people's lives,  but in the meantime,  a way to get common sense ethics and morals into our society has to be placed at the top of our priorities.  Regardless of where one gets these tenets - as long as one gets them,  our problems will fix themselves.

As for me,  the application of the " Golden Rule ",  as taught by many religious leaders,  is naive.   I will stand firm on the " Silver Rule ",  which only differs by not turning the other cheek when slapped.  I believe slapping back in kind or harder,  depending on the situation.   " Praise God,  and pass the ammunition ",  as the Chaplain said - and may your aim be true.

Greed Lust Envy Pride make up the material human....Hovever, the great virtues of faith hope charity courage integrity humility discipling and judgement perseverance and open-mindedness , service to ones fellows make up the spiritual man....Man is essentially a spiritual being undergoing a human experience...Most of what fundamentalist bible readers say about judgement is from their own imagination...  No man can confine God the Almighty to his puny little earthly realm and no human could ever know the mind of God....Jesus was an exception because he was both divine and human....However his sayings are subject to translation and human interpretation....Imo as long as humanity keeps on trying to develope spiritually, there will one day be a big leap in evolution to where the materialism is left in the dirt where it belongs....

Born Again Christians will not disobey the laws of GOD, nor do they fear any man on earth. Jesus has our backs---Man can kill us---chop off our heads, burn us at the stake or feed us to the animals but no man can take or touch our Soul.

Those that kill or harm us will suffer at the hands of Jesus and he will resurrect us back into a more perfect body. Those that persecute us has a place in Hell for Eternity

There is many folks that speak of the Bible, GOD, Jesus and the laws. Mankind should know there is no sin without the laws of GOD to indicate the sin they disobeyed under the law. What really is sin in GODS eyes. To disobey GOD is a sin. If man did obey GOD there would be no need for any law and if there was no need for the law, than there would be no need for Jesus Christ. Before GOD created the earth, the universe and mankind, he had a plan for all of mankind. Each person that is born has been approved by the Will of GOD. Nothing comes from GOD to mankind without first being approved, blessed and passed through his hands for approval.

People speak of Free Will and GOD granted this right to mankind to do as he pleases. GOD gave man a Free Will to choose between what is right and what is wrong, this is included in our DNA at birth. When it comes to Good and Evil / Right or Wrong, there is two masters, one for Good and one for Evil. Both masters can not occupy the same body or space so one becomes master over the other and that master will take over the body. Good comes from GOD and Evil comes from Satan. Jesus is the light of the world, so darkness can not prevail over light, nor can Evil conquer the Good. Things can be made unpleasant for mankind because GOD allows Satan to roam the earth according to his time table and plan. Satan knows he will lose the battle against Jesus in the Final Days so his plan is to turn all people against GOD or take as many with him to Hell as he can.

The Laws Of God were made to allow mankind to have some kind of civil order. GOD knew that a sinner could not obey the Laws but the laws were used in accordance with his plan. Later on GOD had a better plan---Jesus his son would come to earth as the MESSIAH and Savior of the world by dying on the Cross at Cavalry, so that mankind could ask Forgiveness in his name, Repent, Salvation, Baptism, Mercy, Faith and Grace and follow in his footsteps to gain entry into GODS Kingdom and Eternal Life.

The Laws of GOD still apply for us to obey and those laws are written within our hearts as wisdom and knowledge of GODS word. We are no longer judged by the law but by Jesus Christ Our Savior. In the Final Days, Jesus will judge each man according to his Faith and deeds and the belief in himself as the Son of GOD and that he died for the sins of the world. Romans Chapter 10, Verse 9 tells us what he expects us to do. There is many other Scriptures in the New Testament that tells us the way to GODS KINGDOM and there is only one way---Jesus Christ his son----The way to Heaven is the same in all Scriptures---Jesus Christ---PERIOD.

GOD ask the leaders of the nations to come to him in prayer and ask for his guidance and he would fix their nations, none can ask him so they will suffer his wrath and those that killed his people will be judged by him.

Our Valient and Admirable FF stated that all this country needed was the ten commandments handed down to Moses and the principle taught by Lord Jesus on his famous Sermon on the Mount...  Every religion starts with truth from a prophet then those truths get twisted and torn assunder by the followers....   Egoism and materialism!   which of course must be overcome.. However, when you say man by nature cannot obey, I must somewhat disagree...God gave man free agency or free will....He can obey...If not then all of God's laws have a natural penalty enclosed....Most sins are a punishment within themselves, and little sins lead to bigger sins and bigger punishments within...This is just...  God gave us Freedoms,  but He expects responsibilities in utilizing those freedoms wisely...
